意大利7日游(上)

两个礼拜的报告周真能用水深火热来形容，可以想象整天头脑里装着4份报告的滋味。压力由于一份份报告的上交逐渐减缓，逐渐转变为外出旅游的动力。为了享受到地中海的阳光而不影响学习，怎么也得拼了撒。 签证是12天，我们打算一不做二不休直接玩够11天，意大利7天外加自助法国游4天，回来还能赶上圣诞, 爽!

第一天 飞往意大利米兰Milan

由于伯明翰直飞米兰的机票太贵，小准备了下打算凌晨坐车去伦敦再转米兰的线路，能省不少钱。期间坐车路过希思罗，小兴奋了下，可惜我们去的是廉价的Gatwick机场。。折腾了6个多小时上了飞机。3个小时后，我们终于踏上意大利之旅第一站-米兰。

下午到的旅客有幸能跟随导游提前浏览米兰。王导是个资深的华侨，在意大利打拼20多年了，岁月将其磨砺出一口流利的意大利语。王导个头不高，走路却特快，和那时兄弟会去北京游玩的“强哥”有的一拼。

天空不作美，这2周整个意大利连续降雨，可阴沉沉的天并没打消我们旅游的兴致，第一站是AC米兰主场-圣西罗。可惜了之后一天就是A米对阵尤文，整个圣西罗冷清清的，颓废的钢筋混凝土结构在风雨中更具沧桑感。

傍晚去机场接了小胖的初中同学WQ，之后所有27位旅客全部到齐，入住酒店。

第二天 米兰Milan（时尚之都）– 维罗纳Verona（永恒的爱情之城）

一早直奔米兰市中心，开始游览这座大名鼎鼎的时尚之都。作为现代都市，米兰的建筑群处处洋溢着时尚的风情，华美中不失风范，夹杂着那么一点浪漫的格调，让年轻人向往，让情侣们深醉。浓缩整个米兰精华所在的主座大教堂坐落在市中心最繁华地段的杜奥莫广场上，它是米兰的象征，其规模仅次于梵蒂冈的圣彼得大教堂。远处第一眼望见，其雄伟的身躯让我着实震撼不已。上百个装饰的尖塔如石笋般矗立着，无数座雕像无不展现艺术之精粹，大理石塑造了整座教堂，故被美国作家马克·吐温称赞为“大理石的诗”。整个教堂充满着世纪末节的凄美婉约和对新世纪的憧憬，表现出人类的浪漫柔情和对未来向往的奔驰。进入教堂，恰逢成百上千人在做礼拜，昏暗的内部张贴着一幅幅大型油画，隐隐约约能看到最顶部的耶酥，雕刻的玫瑰花形饰物如珠宝般散布在地板上。市中心购物商城的繁多让我目不暇接，名牌商店满街都是，大概这就是“时尚之都”的由来吧。

午饭后，我们来到永恒的爱情之城—维罗纳，也是一座历史悠久的意大利历史名城，时至今日，维罗纳这卒古老的城市仍保留着传统的罗马城镇的格局。维罗纳斗兽场，其规模仅次于古罗马斗兽场，以其为市中心四周摆满了摊位，特别热闹。

←是相当猥琐

最为世人瞩目的是因为这里是莎士比亚名著《罗密欧与朱丽叶》的爱情悲剧诞生的地方。穿梭在古色古香的市中心小巷中，不久就来到一个小院，院内一幢小楼就是朱丽叶的故居。院内正面竖立着一尊朱丽叶的青铜塑像，亭亭玉立，花枝招展。深情中又略带些许哀怨之情。由于传说触摸塑像的右胸能带来美好的爱情，如今朱丽叶塑像的右胸显得尤为锃亮。游客们相继排队“摸胸”，相当的尴尬。。所有门墙上写满了祝福爱情的话语，在此许愿是相当不错。晚饭后住在威尼斯外岛，准备明天一早进军威尼斯。

第三天 威尼斯Venice（水上之城)

老天这几天总和我们作对，来到威尼斯那是连续降雨导致水位猛涨，致使海面波涛汹涌，刚进大船就得知今天水位太高而没法享受到这里独具特色的交通工具-尖舟 “贡多拉”。海上波涛汹涌，迷雾缭绕，远处的威尼仿佛是是一片矗立在亚得里亚海滨中超脱世俗的仙境，熠熠生辉，让人神往。整个威尼斯城的建筑靠100多条水道和400余座桥梁连接，蜿蜒的水巷，流动的清波，她就好像一个漂浮在碧波上浪漫的梦，诗情画意在我脑海中根深蒂固，久久挥之不去。苏州被喻为“东方威尼斯”，当我们踏上这片神圣的土地，我确实感受到了家乡的温暖，只是这里建筑基调和家乡相去甚远。因为下雨的缘故，到处都是积水，内部低洼地区干脆就直接淹没，威尼斯人都穿戴长桶靴，而我们这些人今天想进入内部，只能购买些垃圾袋绑住双脚。。有人说这座美丽的古城“城上面是石头，下面是森林”，意思是整个威尼斯建立在数不清的木桩上，据说为了建造她意大利北部的森林全被砍完了。闻名于世的圣马可广场和它高高的塔楼是威尼斯一道亮丽的风景线。

虽说下雨不过广场上仍有数不清的鸽子飞起飞落，仿佛欢迎游客们的到来。可惜这趟旅行跟的是当地的导游，带我们历经千辛万苦不说竟然带我们参观威尼斯的玻璃工艺，无非就是想让我们买些东西从中牟取回扣。趟了次水照没拍成不说竟然还来到那鬼地方看玻璃，怒火自然而然就上来了。再趟次水回到海边享受了一次正宗的意大利套餐，虽说不怎么样不过听说那意大利墨汁面条是这里独有的特色，勉强过的去。。老天还是那么爱捉弄我们的下着大雨，这会心是直接凉透了。看来威尼斯之行并不愉快，下次有机会定要再来次，好好享受她的美丽、温馨和浪漫。这天不算愉快的旅行过后，我们入住酒店，听说旅馆后面就是大海，不过由于冬天5点左右就天黑了，我们吃完饭过去时已经一片漆黑，不过仍能感受到大海无穷的魅力。于是突发奇想和王导提出明日一早抽20分钟拍下大海的景色。

第四天 圣马力诺San Marino - 亚西西 Assisi

王导果真答应了我们的要求，一早我们便来到大海旁拍照留念。短短的一刻钟左右我们玩的非常尽兴，特别是小胖从未看见过大海，如今真能大饱眼福了~

尽情奔跑:

完后我们出发前往亚平宁半岛东北部的内陆国圣马力诺。之前听说圣马力诺也是在F1里，每年在意大利都有蒙扎和圣马力诺大奖赛。据王导介绍，圣马力诺距亚德里亚海不远，是欧洲最古老的共和国之一。相传一位叫马力诺的基督徒石匠为逃避罗马皇帝的迫害，藏身于蒂塔诺山顶，圣马力诺的地名由此而来。整个古城建立在山上，这里风景秀美，是旅游胜地。大巴开至半山腰上，之后我们经历了一小段登山路。期间我们购买了精美绝伦的集邮册。没多久我们来到山顶，之前的云雾缭绕由于天气骤变的原因突然变的阳光普照，眼前豁然开朗，整个圣马力诺城尽收眼底，美不胜收。可惜F1场地是在山背，没法望见。

午饭后我们来到历史悠久的亚西西，拜谒壮观的圣方济格大教堂。期间由于掉队的缘故我们几人没能进入教堂参观，实属遗憾。不过周围华丽的建筑群已经深深吸引了我们，想来已经满足了。其实这里出名源自于方济格的一个经典的故事：详细请见:

Reading Week - Nightmare

Yesterday we met the first text in UK—Marketing Plan for our product. Becoz of that this is the unique text before Christmas, most of us paid great attention on it, although it is just an easier one than the other assignments which we should finish the next week. The market class is not as important as the other main subjects, but we should not stop focusing on that. After all, that will influence our marks finally.

These days I spent lots of time just sleeping in the accommodation. Maybe I felt a little tired. I’m being besieged with the four awful assignments all the time. But I can do something to relax myself. So watching NBA is a good choice. NBA is so attractive that I can’t stop watching that nearly every night. However, it’s not a good idea to watch NBA any more becoz so many assignments are waiting for us to finish, there will be no enough time for me. Talking of take exercise in the gym, I go there every night as usual, with Zhou Jialing and ‘Little Fat’. ‘Great Immortal’ also goes there but only about one time in two days. Last Saturday I’d like to get a hair cut, he helped me to achieved my ideal imagination as a great barber. Sooooo Coooool :P

An atmosphere of Christmas has been arrived in Birmingham last week. A large number of Christmas Trees, Father Christmas can be seen everywhere, especially in the city centre. One month later what the scene will be here, it’s difficult for us to imagine.

Italy--A plan in Christmas

As we all know, if you have been to Europe, Italy is a country which you must visit. After struggling for a long time, I decided to have a trip to Italy with my dear friend “Little Fat” during the holiday of Christmas. Bcoz of the increasing price of air ticket, I won’t go home, although a large group of my classmates chose to go back in Christmas. At first I also had a plan to somewhere in Europe such as Switzerland, Czech and France, but compare with Italy, I shook my idea. I also had a plan to many countries with tour group in about seven to ten days at first. Then I heard that it will be very busy and tired after this kind of journey. “Little Fat” made a decision to travel to Italy with his two friends then. He invited me in the countless repetitions. After a long time to think and discuss with my parents and many friends, I accepted his statement. 意大利风情古迹七日游，很戳很强大。

When I asked my sister, she didn’t think that’s a good idea to travel to Italy with tour group. She said we could go there ourselves and Christmas was not an appropriate time to travel. Bcoz of such abundant experiences, I trusted her very much. But I thought about the time then. We won’t have enough time to travel the next term coz we will be busy at that time. In the Easter we have only two or three weeks so it’s time to go to somewhere near Birmingham in UK, not such a long distance. After about two or three years, maybe we have no time to travel to the other countries in Europe. I will feel terribly disappointed and gloomy at that time.
It’s Halloween’s day on the last weekend. No enthusiasm and happiness. Just swimming and taking exercise in the gym with my classmates. Thursday is bonfire night， we didn’t go to that place either. What a pity it is!

We have begun to do our assignments now. Four assignments are waiting for us! :( If I want to play happily, I should try my best to do everything well.

Snowing…

It snowed the day before yesterday, even a heavy one. Yesterday some places of the road was covered with ice so we had to cycle to school carefully. How strange the weather is! It’s only in October now! Now the time is not DST, just changed into GMT. But the weather is changing a lot only after two days of this. It seems that there’s no autumn here. Last week we bathed in the warmth of the sun. But now we must wear hat and gloves when we go outside. How incredible it is!

We had our first presentation in TIC this Monday. Actually I wanted to take part in making the PPT at first, but the other two dudes Zak and Prince were very active to do everything. At first we searched some information from the internet; then they began to organize every part to a precise structure. We did that in the team meeting every week. Because of no language problem, it’s natural of them to communicate with each other, but we can’t. Sometimes we even had to ask them what’s the meaning of when they spoke very fast. So most of time we just listened to them and they almost did everything. Because of this team work, we expressed our opinions to improve that. Our topic is designing the dragon car security system. We spent such a long time to finish the PPT so there’s no time to prepare the presentation. Each of us had a speech of our part with no preparation at first. Thinking of everything quickly and then explaining them by our own way. The presentation is just soso and we hope Chris can give us a satisfied mark.

Now the relationship between all of our international students is improved very well. We get on well with them and even become good friends to some of them. I’m glad to be in 2K and believe that we can do well in our studies together.

Tonight should not be lonely

Christmas is focus of most of my classmates’ interest these days.

The weather is getting cold so most of us may be missing their family now. The wind is blowing strongly, just like a monster scaring us. Suddenly I find out that three months have passed since we came here. Though I had experienced that when I studied in Nanjing, I feel lonelier than that in Nanjing. Coz of such a long distance and a bleak room. My friend Zhang Hao has been back in China coz of his dear grandpa’s death. I’m sorry to hear that. So I wish my grandparents would keep healthy and have a good life.

I take one and a half hours of vigorous daily exercise at a gym every day, hoping that I could gain more weight. My purpose is 77KG but now I’m only 70KG, It’s such a long-term plan. I have confidence that will be attained in the future.

Now we are very sure that our course is very difficult, especially embedded systems and analogue electronics. Three assessments have been assigned so we will be busy in the next several weeks. We will also have presentation on the next Monday. Now I have made friends with other countries’ students in the class. All of them are good at English so they don’t have problems of communication. I can make sense of most of the lectures now but some teachers’ language speed is so fast that we can’t understand sometimes. Communication problems should be solved as soon as possible, I think.

Tonight should not be lonely. We should look forward and keep moving. A great number of knowledge is waiting for us to learn. Fighting!

It’s still two months from now to Christmas. But the Halloween will come soon. Here is some information about Halloween from Alex, thanks to him!

Blackberry Day

As soon as I was writing this yesterday, my laptop didn’t work anyway. Then it became worse even changed beyond my imagination. I’m busy installing the windows system the whole day. Soooo terrible! @##!% Fortunately my laptop is back again!

Not only this gloomy thing visited me yesterday, but also another one which can even make me mad. I didn’t have class yesterday’s afternoon. Coz of that I wanted to have a rest in my room at first. After class as soon as I found my bicycle, I felt very surprised. My bicycle was locked by the other one. A bad guy was a little foolish when he locked his bike. Then I had to decide to stay in TIC. Doing the experiment again in the lab with my other classmates... :( @##!% I even waited for that guy until half past five. I found his friend, he called him and then I survived finally. He said a great number of 'Sorry' to me. .........

Three weeks have passed since the new term began. I have made friends with many classmates who have different nationalities. Now my class is Electronic Engineering 2K. Though the members are less that that of 2J, we work together and believe that we can do well in our group work. Now listening part is not as difficult as that in the past two weeks. But my spoken English is also very poor. We still have trouble when we communicate with others. Explaining skills need to be improved, I think.


I found different staffs have different personality characteristics. Here is some information of staffs of mine.

大本, 阿X teaches Analogue Electronics and Digital Electronics, is always late when he has classes. Very efficient and kind hearted. English pronounce is good. I like him.

Drinker, teaches us Embedded Systems, has a very high language speed. So we should listen very carefully. His face looks very red when he has class, with such a bad alcohol smell. Soooo strange man!

Chris, teaches Market led Business for Engineers. Local gentleman whose spoken English is very good, with such a serious surface.

Today I had lunch in Big Work with "Little Fat" and Zhou Jialing. From then on my stomach is terribly big. So much delicious food! We enjoyed the meat, ice cream and fruit salad together. Six pounds, a little expensive. I decide to go there two weeks a time.

New Term New Beginning

Several reasons prevent my Blog’s update for a long time. It’s a coincidence that my first week of the new term in TIC is the same week as the golden week of National Day in the motherland. I’m having classes while my relatives and most of my old classmates are enjoying their desired holiday. Good luck to everybody! Though I feel sooooo gloomy now!

Last Saturday we went to Bicester Village to have a whole day for shopping. That was my first time to get on a train in UK. The village is a famous shopping village although it’s very small. There are so many famous brand clothes here such as Tommy, Armani, Dior, Versace, LEVI’S, CK , POLO... All of them are terribly discounted. “SALE” can be seen everywhere so we couldn’t help buying lots of clothes which we liked. This is my first time to buy clothes in UK. A little luxury…

The first week in TIC is just all right and I have met all of the teachers. Listening problem didn’t influence me so much as I thought first. Maybe some vocabularies are too difficult to me now but I can understand the teachers’ main ideas. If I could concentrate on the teacher’s pronounce every minutes in the whole class, the content would be caught by me clearly, I think.

Yesterday evening I accompanied with my classmate Zhang Hao to try his part time job. He bought a second-hand car several days ago and we found a room service job. Thanks to the GPS we didn’t make the boss disappointed at first. We helped each other and worked hard together. After several times we had accumulated much experience yet. The boss felt satisfied and then gave us food to eat. 牛腩虾仁盖浇饭，So delicious! Unfortunately the key of the car was broken then so we must stop working and only earned ￡22 at last. We had to go home by bus. So terrible!

I think I will get a part time job in the next several weeks. But studying should be treated as the first state now. My course is difficult so I must study hard now.

杂谈

都说英国天气诡异，刚来到的头几天就见识到了：晚上接近9点天才全黑，而凌晨3点多天就亮了，这使得想尽快调整时差的我们有些应接不暇。。刚觉得外面太阳火辣辣的有点受不了，顷刻前倾盆大雨不期而遇，淋得个落汤鸡，真不是滋味。。所以说在英国外出带伞是好习惯，一天下不下个N次雨老天是不会甘心的，降水那么多，我想对空气也有一定净化作用，因而这里的环境相当舒适，空气是非常清新的。

都说英国人素质高，一点不假：排队乘公交井井有条。。在街上多看人一眼别人就会主动说“Hi”“Hello”来向你问好。。红绿灯是自己按了变的，你刚按还没等绿灯亮来车一般都主动停下让你通行。。刚开始住的乡下偏远地带街道上仍是那么的干净，以至于你的鞋穿了2个多星期光彩依旧。。市中心就不提了，莫大的街道上看不到什么垃圾垢污，仔细想找个吸烟的也着实困难。。英国人距离感比较敏锐，明明能一起过的地方他会主动让你先通行，或明明你先碰到别人，先说“Sorry”的竟然是他。。仔细看繁华地带的交通线，就能发现这里交通依然是那么的通畅，车辆虽多但从未发现过什么堵车状况，也没发现过超车，抢道等在国内司空见惯的现象。。和国内反差实在太大，因此在我们这帮人眼里这类现象甚至有点古怪，而如今国内物质文明发展起来了，而精神文明的层次还是和国外有很大距离，可谓触不可及。。

都说英国人办事效率低，我总算见识了。。就说办张银行卡吧，在中国么普通的卡直接申请登记办理一天就搞定，而这里是情况却是：过7~10个工作日把卡邮寄给你（因为上面要印你的名字等信息），再过3天，把网上银行密码邮寄过来；再等待大致3~5天，最终才收到银行卡密码。。无限制的等待，将近半个月的折磨。。就为个安全？这几天忙活的大部分时间竟然在排队上：学校注册登记，交学费，警察局注册，医疗保险。。本没多少事，每次排队都要让你等上1个多小时，心碎。。


英国人说一不二，买菜还价这种事在这里并不多见，一份价钱一份货在这里体现的特别突出，有8磅一斤的肉,也有4磅的,还有2磅多的,看起来差不多，其实就是差了半天到一天的出产日。号称四大天王的”Tesco, ”ASDA”, “Morrisons”和 “Sainsbury’s”超市我去过3个，总体感觉就是莫大的超市没几个服务人员，几乎只有柜台才能看到。。在Argos购物就更有趣，好几排长桌上放的只有玻璃纸做的书，书上翻到的任何物品都能去自动售货机里按照号码用银行卡支付，支付完毕后去柜台领取。。方便省事，快捷舒心。

Before the new term

After finishing the registration of TIC we have about one and a half weeks to be free. These days we can keep relax and have lots of time to do whatever we want to do. Originally we had a plan to have a trip to maybe London or some other places of interests in UK, but finally we gave up that idea.

Every day we just stay at our new room and do some activities around that. Usually we go shopping in the city centre and take exercises in the gymnasium which is on the ground floor of our flat. I want to be heavier and had another plan for taking exercise. Instead ”Little fat” want to lose his weight. After that we go to the swimming pool to swim. “Little fat” can’t swim at first. But after my guiding he can swim now.

I and “Little fat” bought bicycles several days ago and we can find many advantages of that now. If we want to go to the city centre, it just takes us about five minutes by bike. Unfortunately there isn’t any bicycle exclusive road for us to ride, but we can have that for fun COZ the road is always very narrow and there are so many cars and people around us. We won’t carry so many vegetables and meat ourselves, just delay on our bicycles.

These days my cooking skills have been improved very quickly. Though cooking is a great work and people should spend lots of time and energy on that, we will felt very satisfied after finishing that, especially after tasting the delicious food which is cooked by ourselves.

Tonight “Little fat” said “Prefect” in praise of the supper the fist time and I felt so happy that I’m on the top of the world.

Every busy work for the project has been over!
Congratulations to everyone for our victory! Most of our group members felt satisfied today and I deem that we will get a good mark in the end. Tomorrow evening there will be a party so all of us who have different nationalities will get together and then the whole five-week learners' class will be over. After about two weeks, the new term will begin. And the really challenge will wait for us.
U can see that I have changed my address now. Because in the next about nine month I will live in this new address. This afternoon I carried lots of my luggage to my new home-Opal 1 with a group of my classmates. I have got my key now and found that my new room is very good. It is not as big as recently one but the decoration of that is very exquisite. There are excellent security with CCTV, electronic access and 24 hour staff presence so I won’t worry about the security problem. I will move into this new home tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Then our classmates will separate and live in different addresses. Let’s meet each others in TIC after the beginning of the new term. I will miss U all!
I should begin to make a plan for the next two weeks. Maybe a journey or just live in the new room and shopping when we are free? I have not decided that yet…

Oxford(Sep 6th)

Of all the trips have been enjoyed by us in the whole month, Oxford is the last station and the ideal place which we want to go. All of us would like to have a enjoyable day in Oxford.
Oxford, which is the city of dreaming spires, is famous all over the world for its university and over 800 years history. A majority of students from not only UK but also all over the world dream to study here. I admire the students from Oxford very much because they are represents of academic learners. They spend their most of time just studying hard and looking for truth. If a student could study here, he or she would be on the top of the world, I think.
With Oxford’s mix of ancient and modern, there is plenty for both the tourist and resident to do. When we walked along the road and took photos with so many buildings such as museums and libraries, we can feel the atmosphere of the culture and history of the old city. Though Oxford city is not big enough, there are so many attractions in it so we can’t go everywhere in the map. At first we wanted to find out the gate of the university, but when we knew that the whole city was just the university and the gate was very far away, we had to give up and walk after the guide. Then we just went to the Museum of Oxford, Radcliffe square, Christ Church and Botanic Garden. Almost everywhere towers can be seen by us. Because of that, there are many scenes of “Harry Potter” in Oxford. The whole city is filled with such a great studying atmosphere so when you are in Oxford, the feeling is very inconceivable. Actually that’s very cool.
The final organized trip was very unforgettable and we enjoyed Oxford very much. Many other good places in UK can be visited but the next time we can only have a new journey by ourselves. Maybe Scotland is the next destination of mine in Christmas. haha…

Oh no

The report has been finished by me so now I'm really very happy. If we could do well in the next Friday's presentation, we would get a ideal mark. But that's just a dream now. Eposi is not a simple teacher, I think.

Yesterday I had paid for flat renting with my classmates. I signed with Opal one so I will live in it for the whole year. The recent news I have just got from my partner "Little Fat" is that we will live with another Chinese person and two foreigners. That's fine. Actually maybe foreigners are not from UK so we will only wait for the final results. Hoping that’s two English local people!
Busy life style has been adapted by me now. Nowadays I want to make friends with more English local people. A kind guide from England has made friends with me and we can send E-mail to each other. Improving my English in a short time is very necessary now. If I can’t try my best now, communication problem will be influenced on me all the time.

Warwick castle & Stratford (Aug30th)

Fortunately I can wake up early in the morning and then accompanied with “Big Bird” to have a new journey to Warwick castle. We got on the bus at 9:15 but it was very strange that a majority of our classmates had not got here. Maybe they had a good experience tonight.
As the biggest castle in the world, Warwick castle has a very long history. Though it is such an old and big building, Warwick castle is saved much completely than most of the other castles. Many people said that if you saw Warwick castle, all of the castles could not be seen. Such as “看了黄山不看山”
However, the most deeply impression I had is that we can close to the nature more. On such a green lawn, there are a great number of animals such as horses, ducks and even hawks, peacocks and swans. They were so close to us that we can even touch them. In addition, there are so many viewpoints here so we can take lots of photos surrounding the castle. And the castle seemed to teach us ancient British culture and history like an old man.
The next station is Stratford, which is the hometown of Shakespeare. Nowadays this small town becomes so prosperous. We just had a look at the street performance the next hour and that was very interesting.

Bristol

What a busy day it is today!
We were organized to visit Bristol city at 9:15 am. It takes us about two and a half hours to get there by bus.
Before I visit there, I just know that Bristol is famous for its University. But now I know the "Brunel's SS Great Britain". That's the world's first great ocean liner. We took photos on the liner, in the liner and under the liner.
Bristol is a small city with such a long river in it. I haven’t seen a river for a long time because of Birmingham’s special location. After visiting the liner, we walked along the river to go to the city centre. There were not many people in the city centre because that today is bank holiday. Many shops were closed so we can just visit some viewpoints to take some photos again. There were so many magnificent ancient buildings here such as castles that our eyes even can’t have a rest.
After we got home it’s seven o’clock already. Though most of us felt very tired, we had a happy journey again.

Bank Application

We spent the whole afternoon in the city centre to apply for the bank card. That's very terrible. "Little Fat", "Big Bird", "Master Huo" and Wang Shengyang accompanied with me so we can just got a family ticket to get on a bus. All of us chose the “NatWest” bank when we applied for the school proof through the internet. But because of choosing the different branch, “Little Fat”, “Big Bird” and I went to the “Birmingham City Centre” bank together. And the other two went to the “New street” bank. So we must separate when the bus stopped.

I was the first one to be served when we went into the bank. But when I knew that the proof can’t be accepted, I tried my best to explain everything to that woman. She meant that because of no address below the name, they can’t accept the proof from school. But the address is printed in the middle of the paper. They had been printed but weren't printed on the right place. So she said she can't accept this one. I deemed that the bank in UK were very rigid. Unfortunately, she couldn’t be persuaded.

“Master Huo” met the same problem in the other bank branch so we called him to come here. But it was very strange that “Little Fat” and “Big Bird” did’t have this problem. They were just be served by the other manager after I went into the room and he said our proof can be accepted. Then we apply for the card one by one. It took such a long time that we can see the man was very tired finally.

We asked him lots of details about “NatWest” bank and got much useful information. I began to have confidence on my spoken language. From my perspective, if we want to practice our listening and speaking more, we must communicate with local people more and try our best to look for chances.

I will get the card in about ten days! That's very cool!

journey begins here

Nowadays we have only a little time to look for our "Future Nest" because of such a great number of boring lessons should be had every day. Fortunately, with the network in our accommodation, we can search information through the internet.
There are two choices for me now. One is living in a house with my about five good partners, and the other one is living in the flat with my old accommodation partner in Nanjing named " little fat", who chose the same major as mine. After a long-time struggling, I decided to live in a flat.
We chose a very beautiful one named Opal 1 after a tiny and careful consideration, which located near the city centre. It takes only about twenty minutes on foot between the flat and TIC. There are excellent security with CCTV, electronic access and 24 hour staff presence. The most attraction for me is that there are Gymnasium and Pool in it, so I can take some exercises and swim in my free time. I heard there are also Jaccuzi, Steam Room and Sauna in the building, oh that very fantastic!
Everything is OK but the most disadvantage is the money. It's so expensive that some of my classmate can't accept that. My best friend Tianyu and the other good partners want to live in a house because of the low price. But the security and distance are not very ideal, and if we want to find a more ideal house, that's very difficult because that needs time to look for.
Another advantage to live in the flat is that we can make more friends with local English people. More communication means there are more chances for us to improve our spoken English.

初窥门径

不知不觉已经来到伯明翰一个星期,一大早组织去市中心,兴奋噢~
漫步在莫大的市中心里,虽说人群稠密,不过丝毫没有吵杂和拥挤的感觉,一切尽是那么的井井有条大,真大,这里大概有3~4个苏州观前那么宏伟,幸好有北广的一位大姐为向导,否则面临迷路危险的我们不就变为待宰的羔羊?


西方的建筑风格是那么的新奇,一些教堂式的古老建筑则向我们诉说着城市的古老和沧桑,而当看到Bullring时,在哪个角度拍摄它都很美很壮观.新生的现代建筑夹杂在众多古老的建筑群中反差是如此之大以至于显得它更加耀眼夺目.

市中心是这里人们购物娱乐休闲的宝地,在这里我们看到了兰博基尼和阿斯顿.马丁等众多在国内几乎绝迹的车辆,在China Town我们看到了久违的统一冰红茶和那么多中国人,品尝到了可口的中餐.在Bullring那么大的购物场,1、2个小时跑圈根本就逛不到什么。。。而这里距TIC是那么的近，可以想象今后买菜购物等是多么的方便~
